Here are some kind words from students and friends.

"Mikial Robertson is my secret weapon."
After studying with jazz greats such as Pat Martino and Jimmy Bruno, I still return to the notebooks filled in my formative years by Mike, and am always surpised by the amount of imparted knowledge, and by the fact that there are things I can learn from him, even today. As a professional musician and recording artist, I attribute the ideas of a hard work ethic, the search for challenge, expression, creativity, and open-mindedness to Mike's influence. One of the greatest challenges for a teacher is to recognize his/her student's individual skill set, embrace it, and adapt his/her curriculum to suit those needs. And yet, this is one of Mike's greatest strengths in my experience. His insatiable love of
all things musical and creative allows real growth, not only as an artist, but as a person. Add to that the fact that he is constantly involved in his own performance, writing, and experimenting- proof positive that not only will you have a great teacher/student relationship, but a partner in crime, pushing the boundaries with you, never tiring. I am very grateful to have had Mikial Robertson as a teacher, and would not be the musician I am today without his guidance. In the arsenal of art, Mikial Robertson is my secret weapon.
Thanks Mike.

My name is Anna Gdanian and I am a student of Mikial Robertson.
I have been playing the guitar for about five years and have
had several guitar teachers. Mike is by far my best teacher!
He is very knowledgable about the instrument, and an incredible teacher.
Most importantly, however, he is very passionate about what he does.
His zeal for music is evident, and he encourages me to push myself
to a place of excellance as well. This is a place where I do not feel
I would have gone without his example. I am very proud to say that
 I am his student. "

"I just wanted to say thanks for the Guitar I class on Wednesday nights,
it's really helped me since I picked up my guitar again around the New Year.
I am serious when I say that I've learned more guitar in the last
6 weeks than I have in the last ten years. I came to your class thinking
I wanted to learn how to play, now I know I want to learn to live the music.
Your class got into an intermediate level (I would say, anyway) of
music theory pretty quickly, more than we all expected I think, but that's good.
People mostly become what you expect of them, and I think we all
came out better for learning it and psyched up to learn more, rather
than just learning G-C-D-A-E. I'm looking forward to Guitar II and
some individual lessons in the meantime. See you tonight."
